Microneedling
Profound
Profound is a long-pulse, radio frequency, micro-needling, skin tightening device for jowls, neck and double chin. Targeting loss of volume in the lower face, Profound stimulates the production of hyaluronic acid, new collagen and elastin. The Profound procedure delivers stunning transformations with just one treatment. Read more >
Microneedling
An alternative to injections, microneedling or collagen induction therapy is a minimally invasive treatment that kickstarts your body’s own natural collagen and elastin production.
A tool with fine needles is used to create micro punctures in the skin, which tricks your skin into thickening and healing itself by inducing collagen formation. It leads to improvements in your skin’s texture and firmness and can also reduce the appearance of scars, pores, stretch marks, fine lines and pigments.
Vampire Facial (Microneedling w/PRP)
Also known as a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) facial, a vampire facial will help boost the turnover of your skin cells, improving skin tone and texture and fine lines. This rejuvenating treatment begins with microneedling and is followed by a PRP mask. A provider utilizes your own blood to extract the PRP that is used to stimulate the skin cells’ healthy activity. Microdermabrasion can be used to treat the neck, chest, back, arms and hands. Children ages 8 and older, and both men and women (even pregnant) are safe to use this service.
Chemical Peels: Micro/Light Peels, TCA Peels
Chemical peels are classified by how deep into the skin the peeling agent penetrates, which are called superficial, medium, and deep peels.
Micro and Light Peels
A light peel exfoliates the superficial layer of skin, improving the skin’s tone, pigment and sun damage and smoothing out rough skin and acne. The agents commonly used in these peels are Alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and Beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs). Glycolic acid is the most commonly used AHA, and salicylic acid is the most commonly used Beta-hydroxy acid.
Recovery from a light peel is usually very rapid and consists of mild redness and flaking of the outer layer of skin. This process is usually complete in three to four days. Generally, your normal cosmetic routine can be resumed about one week after the peel.
We recommend having one peel every month for three months, but because the results of the superficial chemical peels are temporary, maintenance treatments are recommended.
Two popular options are the Decollette Micro Peel, which includes serum, moisturizer and sunscreen, and the Back and Shoulder Exfoliating Micro Peel.
TCA Peel
This peel utilizes a trichloroacetic 30% acid to remove age spots and sun damaged areas on hands, upper and lower arms. After its application, you may feel some burning and discomfort for up to 10 minutes.
The peel takes approximately 10 days for age spots to peel off.
What should I expect?
The procedure is done in the office and typically takes ten minutes.
What should I do before getting a chemical peel?
Prior to the procedure, the physician will meet with you for a consultation to advise you of any special instructions. You may need to discontinue using certain products on your face (such as retinol) for up to one week prior to the peel.
If you have a history of fever blisters, you may also be placed on an anti-viral medication for a few days prior to the peel.
