Dr. Ben Treen is a highly accomplished dermatologist and Mohs surgeon with a rich background in all facets of dermatological care, including general, medical, pediatric, surgical, cosmetic, and laser procedures. A native of New Orleans, Dr. Treen’s academic journey began with early college enrollment, earning a BSA in Biological Sciences from the University of Georgia on a National Merit Scholarship. His initial experience in a hospital operating room inspired him to pursue medicine, ultimately leading to his passion for dermatology.
Dr. Treen completed his medical training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and a residency in Internal Medicine at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans. He then specialized in dermatology at Louisiana State University Medical Center, serving as chief resident during his final year and earning board certification from the American Board of Dermatology. Additionally, Dr. Treen is Board Certified in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (Mohs surgery) by the ABD.
Dr. Treen established a thriving solo dermatology practice in Greenville, SC, where his expertise extended to advanced surgical, laser, and cosmetic procedures. Outside the clinic, Dr. Treen’s diverse interests include hunting, recumbent bicycling, water sports, motorcycling, and playing the 5-string banjo.
