Sara Faulks Bruton, M.D.
Dr. Sara Faulks Bruton joined the Columbia Skin Clinic family in 2020. Dr. Bruton serves patients through medical dermatology, surgical dermatology and cosmetic dermatology at both the Columbia and Lexington offices. What Dr. Bruton enjoys most about dermatology is working with patients. She says that practicing dermatology allows her to treat a diverse patient population while forming meaningful connections with her patients, enabling a team approach in the management of each individual’s skin condition.
Dr. Bruton graduated summa cum laude from the Honors College at the University of South Carolina. She received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and graduated as first honor graduate. She then completed her internship training in Internal Medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine/Prisma Health. Dr. Bruton completed her residency in dermatology at the Medical University of South Carolina where she served as chief resident.
Growing up in Columbia, Dr. Bruton is happy to call Columbia home with her husband. You can find her playing golf or spending time with family and friends in her free time. She enjoys working with Columbia Skin Clinic’s excellent team of professionals who are dedicated to treating patients’ skin conditions.
