Seth Howell, M.D.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Dr. Seth Howell completed his training in dermatology at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. Prior to medical school, Dr. Howell obtained a graduate degree in Administrative Leadership from the University of Oklahoma. During this time, he also served as a Pilot and Captain in the United States Air Force and has logged over 500 combat flight hours.

While Chief Resident, Dr. Howell also served as resident liaison for the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the American Society for Laser Medicine Surgery. His military honors include Afghanistan and Iraq Campaign Medal, the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Air Force Commendation Medal.

Dr. Howell says that the best part of his day is spending time learning about each patient’s unique background and life experiences. He believes that Columbia Skin Clinic truly cultivates a culture of patient-centered care, and owing to this model, it has continued to grow, becoming the most comprehensive practice in the Midlands. He feels blessed to be a part of CSC.

Dr. Howell has seven children with his wife, Veronica. They are both native South Carolinians, and after moving many times as active duty military, he is excited to be back home. They enjoy being with family and vacationing near the beach and mountains.

He has always had a desire to be able to treat patients in rural South Carolina and is thankful to have been afforded that opportunity here at the Columbia Skin Clinic Camden location.
