Columbia Skin Clinic is growing! Board-certified dermatologist Dr. Sean Thomas will begin serving patients at our Columbia and Camden offices starting in August 2018. His specialty is general medical and surgical dermatology.

Dr. Thomas arrives in the Midlands from Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, N.C, where he has worked since 2012. In fact, he has an extensive and highly decorated military career. He served for 24 years in the U.S. Army – initially as a family physician and then as a dermatologist. Dr. Thomas has deployed to Africa, Kosovo, Turkey and twice to Iraq. He was stationed in Germany for five years.

He completed his dermatology residency at Duke University in North Carolina in 2012 and a family medicine residency at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Georgia in 2000. He earned his medical degree at F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in Maryland in 1997.

Dr. Thomas has also spent time teaching. He served as an assistant professor at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, M.D., and Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C.

He looks forward to joining the team at Columbia Skin Clinic, so he can help with our number one priority: patients and their long-term dermatologic health.
